Dr. Brown is an Assistant Professor of Radiology, and practices pediatric and obstetrical imaging. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and fellowships in Pediatric Radiology and Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Children's Hospital Boston. Dr. Brown and his team performed the first radiofrequency ablation of a renal tumor in a child. Dr. Browns research and educational interests focus on ethics and professionalism. He completed the 2003 Fellowship in Medical Ethics at Harvard Medical School, and he is currently a member of the Childrens Hospital Ethics Advisory Committee, and an Associate Clinical Ethicist in the Hospitals Office of Ethics. He has served as Research Subject Advocate for Ethics and Education for the Hospitals General Clinical Research Center, and as a member of the Institutional Review Boards of Childrens Hospital and the Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center. Dr. Brown is a member of the Harvard Ethics Leadership Council and the Professionalism Committee of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Dr. Brown received a 2006 Children's Hospital Faculty Career Development Award, and was named an Eleanor and Miles Shore 50th Anniversary Scholar in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is the inaugural recipient of the American Roentgen Ray Society Leonard Berlin Scholarship in Medical Professionalism, and a recipient of awards from the Kornfeld Program in Bioethics and Patient Care, the Greenwall Foundation, and the Harvard University Milton Fund. In 2011, Dr. Brown received a GE Healthcare / RSNA Education Scholar Award.
