Department of Urology | Why Choose Us? | Fetal Urology

The Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Urology offers counseling to expectant parents whose children are diagnosed with urinary or genital problems during prenatal care. We support you, your family and your baby — both before and after birth.

We offer care and support for obstruction of the urinary tract, other congenital urologic disorders as well as hydronephrosis — the most common condition we treat.

Coordinated fetal urology care from diagnosis to treatment

Counselors will meet with you and discuss your baby's diagnosis, as well as possible treatments and outcomes, with the focus always on you and your baby. Our team of expert physicians and clinical staff work closely with Boston Children’s Advanced Fetal Care Center (AFCC) to offer counseling and care when a fetal anomaly is suspected or diagnosed.
