Global Pediatric Innovation Summit
Our third annual Global Pediatric Innovation Summit in November was the most successful yet! Of over 500 attendees, 180 companies and 16 countries were represented, including 8 international scholarship recipients.
Seven of our international attendees, from left to right, Dr. Aurora Rosaria, Medical Director Hospital, Instituto da Criança HCFMUSP, Brazil; Dr. Adriana Margarita Vallejo Castillo, Medical Director, OCA Hospital Mexico; Dr. Gabriel Musante, Associate Director of Maternal and Child Health, Hospital Universitario Austral, Argentina; Juliana Ferreira, Chief of Nurse, Instituto da Criança - HCFMUSP, Brazil; Dr. Andreia Watanabe, Instituto da Criança HCFMUSP, Brazil; Dr. Tatiana Esther Zabaleta Salazar, Pediatrician, Surcolombian University; Dr. Nestor Panattieri, Pediatrician, Hospital Universitario Austral, Argentina
This year's program featured an Innovation Tank where innovators presented their concepts to a panel of clinicians and venture capitalists; an Ignite Talks competition where the audience judged short pitches from life science investigators; a slate of keynote speakers representing all stages of the innovation cycle and three expert panels -- Cancer Genomics + Care, Patient Engagement in a Big Data World, and The Future of Pediatric Precision Medicine.
Thank you to the dynamic keynote speakers, engaging panelists, and all the attendees who brought so much energy and insight to the event. Mark your calendars for the next annual Global Pediatric Innovation Summit in Boston on November 13-14, 2016, where you will be joined by a vibrant mix of thought leaders for a productive exchange about the most pressing pain points in pediatric medicine.
