About the program
The Orthopedic Center's General Orthopedic Program is known as the premier center for the care of children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental, congenital, neuromuscular, and post-traumatic problems of the musculoskeletal system.
The program is made up of a multi-disciplinary team of orthopedic specialists led by 38 fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeons.
Established in 1903, we are one of the world’s most experienced pediatric orthopedic programs, and with 13 specialty clinics, we are the largest in the country. We’re also one of the busiest. Every year, we attend to more than 100,000 patient visits and complete about 6,000 surgeries. We are committed to providing the best possible care for every patient we meet.
Yet, while our treatments and innovations have greatly evolved over the past century, our philosophy remains the same: to constantly provide the best orthopedic care and service possible in order to improve the quality of life for our patients.
Our pediatric orthopedic care includes:
- consultation and comprehensive evaluation
- surgical care: invasive and minimally invasive
- casting
- orthotic and prosthetic management
- physical and occupational therapy
- ongoing management
